I'm not at all sure why it works sometimes and not others.
I found it easier to solve the problem at the source than to work
around it. The fix is literally "if(m==NULL) return;", it's
unfortunate that you have to do any compiling. You can, though use
pike -x module in the src/modules/Mysql directory, and it works just
fine. No need to recompile all of pike.

I'm using 5.0.16 on darwin (Fink) and 5.0.32 on linux (etch).
Any idea why this problem appears in start() and not in other
functions?
I wonder wether i have to move all my connection stuff outside start
(),
change my MySQL servers versions, patch my 7.6.112 or use a newer
Pike.
